AIRING:
Silk is a fantastic natural material, and with the right care, your garment will last for many years.
Silk has self-cleaning properties, which means it doesn't need to be washed very often. Often, simply airing it out is enough. When you do wash your silk garment, we recommend professional dry cleaning or hand washing to best preserve the fabric's quality and luster.
HAND WASH:
- Wash the garment by hand in lukewarm water (maximum 30 degrees).
- Use a gentle detergent specifically formulated for silk and wool. Never use ordinary detergent or bleach.
- Do not let the garment soak, and avoid rubbing or wringing the fabric.
- Rinse thoroughly in clean water.
DRYING:
- Gently squeeze out excess water—never wring the garment.
- Lay the garment flat on a clean towel, roll it up loosely, and press gently to absorb moisture.
- Reshape the garment and dry it flat, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Do not tumble dry.
STEAMING & IRONING:
- We recommend using a steamer to remove wrinkles and restore the silk's soft, smooth texture.
- If you iron the garment, use the lowest temperature setting (silk setting) and always iron inside out. We recommend using a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric.
DRY CLEANING:
If you prefer to send your silk garment to a dry cleaner, the price for cleaning a single silk item is approximately EURO 20 in 2026.
